Services
Urology
In keeping with the overall modernisation of the hospital, the Department of Urology has excelled further to accommodate many new services. A major medical advance made has been in the management of Urinary Stone disease. The hospital has acquired the all-new Dornier Compact Alpha Lithotriptor, manufactured by the pioneers of the Lithotriptor Technology. The state of the art equipment has set new standards in the management of stone diseases. The unit treats approximately 50 to 60 new cases every month. The conversion rate to other modalities of treatment has been less than 1 percent.
Focus On Urological Subspecialties
Female Urology
Our Urology center is dedicated to the complete care of women suffering from disorders in the lower urinary tract. Advances in Urology support our surgery and clinical procedures, treating the challenging problems in the pelvis area. Reconstructive surgeries help tackle urinary problems and pelvic organ prolapse.
Urodynamics
To diagnose possible urinary problems or inconsistencies, Urodynamic tests are conducted for both men and women. These tests are for testing muscle and nerve activities, bladder pressure, bladder flow, and similar. The tests assess how the bladder, sphincters, and urethra store and release urine, focusing on the drainage system and waste and extra water removal. The main aim of these tests is to help in diagnosing and help with appropriate treatments.
Robotics Surgery
Modern treatments of urology increasingly turn to minimally invasive surgeries, aided by robotics. Urologists at Ruby Hall have adopted surgical robotics, leveraging the advanced daVinci robotic system. From prostate procedures to robot-supported laparoscopic surgeries – our specialists have built expertise on advanced treatments.
