Dr. Ashish Khanijo

Dr. Ashish Khanijo, MBBS, MS (General Surgery), DNB (Cardiothoracic Surgery), has been an experienced cardiac surgeon for the past 28 years.

Dr. Khanijo specialises in a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including coronary bypasses, valve surgeries, aortic surgeries, lung surgeries, vascular surgeries, and minimally invasive cardiac operations. He also treats mediastinal masses and tumours. He has performed 31 heart transplants and one LVAD implantation. In addition, he handles pacemaker implantations and coronary angiographies in the cath lab.

With extensive experience in both cardiac and pulmonary ECMO programmes, Dr. Khanijo has been actively involved through the Deccan Cardiovascular Club to promote knowledge-sharing and professional growth within the field.
