Dr. Sanjay Agarwal is the Head of the Department of Medicine & Diabetes at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. A distinguished endocrinologist and physician, he holds fellowships from both the American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians. He serves as the Hon. Secretary of the Governing Council of the National RSSDI and is actively involved in shaping diabetes care guidelines in India.

He has been part of various national writing committees, contributing to guidelines on inpatient hyperglycaemia, glucose monitoring, and diabetes management in the context of comorbidities like heart failure and thyroid disease. An accomplished author, he has written the book Clinical Atlas in Diabetes and served as Chief Editor of RSSDI’s Insulin Monograph. He is also on the editorial board of the BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care Journal and serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Diabetes in Developing Countries (IJDDC).

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Agarwal has been a principal investigator in several landmark international trials and is a sought-after faculty at both national and international conferences.
